파주시가 본격적인 여름 무더위를 앞두고 시민들이 가까운 공원에서 안전하고 시원하게 더위를 식힐 수 있도록 공원 물놀이시설 운영에 나선다.

파주시는 오는 7월 1일부터 8월 16일까지 시내 주요 공원에 조성된 물놀이시설 13개소를 운영한다고 밝혔다. 

도심 속에서 가족 단위 시민들이 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 여름철 대표 휴식 공간으로 자리매김할 것으로 기대된다.

올해 운영되는 물놀이시설은 운정지역 10개소와 운정 외 지역 3개소 등 모두 13개소로, 시민들의 접근성을 고려해 지역별로 고르게 배치됐다.

시설에는 바닥분수와 어린이물놀이장이 마련돼 있으며, 어린이들에게 큰 인기를 끌고 있는 에어바운스 물놀이장 3개소는 여름방학 기간에 맞춰 오는 7월 17일부터 운영을 시작한다.

물놀이시설 운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지이며, 시민들의 안전과 위생을 위해 매주 월요일은 시설 점검과 청소, 수질관리를 위해 휴장한다. 

또한 우천 시에는 안전사고 예방을 위해 운영을 중단할 예정이다.

파주시는 운영 기간 동안 시민들이 안심하고 시설을 이용할 수 있도록 정기적인 수질검사를 실시하고, 각 물놀이장에 안전관리 요원을 배치하는 등 안전관리에 만전을 기할 계획이다. 

시설 점검과 위생 관리도 지속적으로 실시해 쾌적한 이용 환경을 유지한다는 방침이다.
