국민의힘 고양시갑 당원협의회가 2026년 병오년 새해를 맞아 현장 중심 정치를 다짐하는 의미 있는 행보를 이어갔다.

권순영 위원장을 비롯한 핵심당원 20여 명은 1월 1일 관산동 공릉천에서 새해 해돋이 행사를 개최했다. 

이들은 새해 첫 해를 바라보며 고양시갑의 새로운 도약을 다짐했다.

해돋이 행사에 이어 당협은 고양시 덕이동 현충공원을 찾았다. 참석자들은 현충탑에 헌화와 분향을 올리며 순국선열과 호국영령의 숭고한 희생정신을 기렸다. 

이는 지역정치인으로서 국가와 지역사회에 대한 책임을 되새기는 자리였다.

이날 행사에는 권순영 당협위원장을 중심으로 고양시갑 당협의 주요 당직자와 핵심당원들이 대거 참석해 새해 결의를 다지고 책임 정치의 의미를 되새겼다.

권순영 위원장은 평소 현장 중심 정치를 강조해 왔다. 

그는 "정치는 말이 아니라 현장에서 증명돼야 하며, 주민의 일상과 맞닿아 있을 때 비로소 신뢰를 얻을 수 있다"는 소신을 견지해왔다.

이날도 권 위원장은 "공릉천에서 맞이한 새해 첫 해처럼, 고양시갑의 정치도 시민에게 희망을 주는 방향으로 새롭게 떠올라야 한다"고 강조했다.
