고양특례시 대화도서관은 지난 6일 덕이도서관에서 ‘대화(AI)와 덕이(문학)의 만남’을 주제로 ‘2025 대화도서관 메이커 북페스티벌’을 성황리에 개최했다.

올해로 7회째를 맞이한 이번 북페스티벌은 AI·AR 코딩 등 미래산업 체험과 3D펜 등 메이커 프로그램, 특별 강연 등 총 90회 이상의 프로그램에 700여 명이 참여하며 높은 관심과 호응을 얻었다.

개막식 행사에는 이동환 고양특례시장을 비롯해 고은정 도의원, 심홍순 도의원, 김학영 시의원이 참석했고, 대화동과 덕이동 단체장과 주민 100여 명이 함께해 대화(AI)와 덕이(문학) 만남의 장이라는 의미를 더했다.

AI 분야 체험 프로그램으로는 AI 캐리커처 배지 제작, AI 오목 대결, AI 자율주행 체험이 진행됐으며  또한 AR·코딩 기반 체험 프로그램으로는 AR 컬러링, 글씨를 쓰는 코딩로봇이 선보여졌다.

메이커 체험 프로그램은 3D펜 체험, 슈링클스 키링, 우드 각인 책갈피, 책도장 만들기 등으로 진행돼 가족 단위 참가자들에게 큰 인기를 끌었다. 

특히 1층 로비에서 진행된 대형 범블비 로봇 기념 촬영과 삼행시 이벤트는 현장을 찾은 시민들의 뜨거운 호응을 얻으며 축제 분위기를 한층 고조시켰다.

행사에 참여한 한 시민은 “평소 접하기 어려운 AI와 메이커 장비를 직접 만날 수 있어 유익했다”며 “앞으로도 이러한 행사가 자주 열리길 바란다”고 소감을 전했다.

시 관계자는 “도서관에서 미래를 직접 느끼고 체험하며 가족과 함께 즐거운 추억을 만들었기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

On the 6th, the Goyang Special City Daehwa Library successfully held the "2025 Daehwa Library Maker Book Festival" at Deok-i Library, themed "The Encounter of Daehwa (AI) and Deok-i (Literature)."

This year marks the 7th anniversary of the book festival, which attracted over 700 participants across over 90 programs, including experiences in future industries like AI and AR coding, maker programs like 3D pens, and special lectures.

The opening ceremony was attended by Goyang Special City Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, Provincial Council Members Ko Eun-jeong and Shim Hong-soon, and City Council Member kim Hak-young. Around 100 heads of local governments and residents from Daehwa-dong and Deok-i-dong also attended, further enhancing the significance of this event as a meeting place for Daehwa (AI) and Deok-i (Literature).

AI-related experiential programs included AI caricature badge making, AI Gomok competitions, and AI autonomous driving experiences. AR and coding-based programs included AR coloring and a writing robot.

Maker experience programs, including 3D pen experiences, Shrinkles keychains, engraved wood bookmarks, and bookmark making, proved extremely popular with families.

In particular, the large Bumblebee robot photo shoot and three-line poem event held in the first-floor lobby garnered enthusiastic responses from visitors, further enhancing the festival atmosphere.

A citizen who participated in the event commented, "It was a valuable opportunity to experience AI and maker equipment that is rarely accessible in everyday life. I hope events like this will be held more frequently in the future."
