고양특례시 일산서구가 연말 혈액 수급난 해소를 위해 공직자가 앞장섰다.

일산서구는 지난 5일 청사 앞에서 직원을 대상으로 단체 헌혈 행사를 열고 생명 나눔 문화 확산에 동참했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 행사는 계절적 요인과 연말 혈액 수요 증가로 인한 혈액 부족 사태를 극복하고, 공직자로서 지역사회 나눔 활동에 솔선수범하자는 취지에서 마련됐다.

이날 대한적십자사 경기혈액원의 헌혈 차량이 구청 청사를 방문했으며, 직원들이 자발적으로 헌혈에 참여해 이웃의 생명을 살리는 데 힘을 보탰다.

일산서구 관계자는 “직원들의 적극적인 참여로 따뜻한 나눔의 가치를 다시 확인할 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

헌혈에 참여한 한 직원은 “작은 나눔이지만 누군가에게 큰 희망이 될 수 있다는 생각으로 헌혈에 동참했고, 큰 보람을 느낀다”고 전했다.
