고양특례시가 민간 전문가로 구성된 안전관리자문단과 함께 지역 안전성 강화에 총력을 기울이고 있다.

시는 지난 28일 '2025년 고양시 안전관리자문단 정기회의'를 개최하고, 올 한 해 추진한 안전관리 성과를 공유하는 한편 내년도 운영 계획을 논의했다고 29일 밝혔다.

건축, 토목, 소방 등 분야별 민간 전문가 30명으로 구성된 자문단은 11월 말 기준 총 310건의 안전관리 자문을 수행하며 시민 안전 확보에 기여했다.

자문단은 사고 위험이 높은 공공·민간 건설공사 현장은 물론 초고층 건축물 및 지하연계복합건축물 등에 대해 전문 분야별 안전점검을 실시해 위험요인을 사전에 차단했다.

특히 기후변화에 따른 집중호우에 대비한 계절별 취약시설 점검이 두드러졌다. 

우기철 급경사지와 옹벽 등 취약시설을 집중 점검하며 재난 가능성을 조기에 진단하고 예방 조치를 지원했다.

행주문화제, 고양꽃박람회 등 주요 지역 축제의 안전성 확보에도 만전을 기했다. 

행사 개최 전 사전 점검을 통해 위험 요소를 선제적으로 제거해 단 한 건의 사고도 없는 성공적인 축제 운영을 이끌었다.

긴급 상황에서도 자문단의 역할이 빛을 발했다. 

장진2교 붕괴 우려가 발생했을 당시 긴급 안전점검을 통해 우회도로 개설 등 신속한 대응책을 마련해 시민 불안과 민원을 해소했다.

지난 여름 기록적 폭우 시에는 화전동 급경사지와 북한산 아미타사 옹벽 붕괴 위험 현장을 즉시 점검하고 보강공사 및 재난관리기금 지원을 이끌어내며 대형 사고를 예방했다.

이날 회의에서는 올해 성과를 기반으로 2026년도 안전관리 체계를 한층 강화하기 위한 운영 방향도 심도 있게 논의됐다. 

시는 그간 시민 안전 증진을 위해 헌신한 자문위원들에게 표창을 수여하며 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
