더불어민주당 정병춘 정책위원회 부의장이 최근 정청래 당대표 특별보좌관으로 임명되며 고양시장 출마 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다.

정 특보의 가장 큰 강점은 풍부한 행정 경험이다. 

1979년 고양시에서 공직을 시작해 서기관(4급)으로 명예롭게 마무리하기까지 40여 년간 행정 현장 최전선에서 시민들과 가장 가까운 곳에서 일해왔다.
