고양특례시가 외국인 연수생들을 대상으로 한국의 전통과 현대가 조화된 문화체험 행사를 마련한다.

시는 오는 17일 행주산성과 한강 수변데크 일원에서 '노을빛 고양 한강산책(Goyang Harmony: K-Walk by the Han River)' 행사를 개최한다고 11일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 한복 착용, 청사초롱 마실, 퓨전국악 공연, K-간식 체험 등을 결합해 한국 고유의 매력을 알리는 K-관광 콘텐츠로 구성됐다.

행사에는 국토교통부 글로벌 항공정책 펠로십 연수생 31개국 38명이 참석한다. 

참가자들은 한국에 막 입국한 학생부터 1년간 한국항공대 기숙사 생활을 해온 학생까지 다양하다.

당일 프로그램은 참가자들이 한복을 입고 청사초롱을 들고 행주산성 수변누리길을 걸으며 야경을 감상하는 것으로 시작된다. 

이어 충의정에서 퓨전국악 공연을 관람하고 김밥, 라면, 떡볶이, 어묵 등 한국의 대표 간식을 맛보는 시간을 갖는다.

시는 학업에 집중하느라 한국 문화를 접할 기회가 부족했던 연수생들에게 이번 행사가 특별한 문화체험의 기회가 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

이동환 고양특례시장은 "BTS와 K-팝 열풍으로 외국인 관광객이 한국을 찾고 있으며, 고양종합운동장에서 열린 '고양콘'에도 81만 명 이상이 방문했다"며 "K-한류를 체계적으로 기획한 이날 행사에 참여한 여러 국가의 학생들이 개인 SNS에 홍보해 준다면 모두가 고양특례시의 훌륭한 홍보대사가 될 것"이라고 말했다.

행사가 열리는 행주산성 수변누리길은 창릉천 합류부에서 행주산성 역사공원까지 이어지는 한강변 무장애 데크길로, 길이 750m, 폭 2.2m 규모다. 

최근 조명이 설치돼 야간에도 안전하고 아름다운 산책로로 거듭났다.

한편 시는 고양 행주산성의 대표 야간 축제 '행주가 예술이야'가 2026년 국가유산 야행에 재선정됨에 따라 더욱 내실 있는 프로그램을 운영할 예정이다.

특히 외국인을 위한 특별 프로그램 '야식(夜食)'을 준비 중이다.

Goyang Special City is offering a cultural experience program for international trainees, blending tradition and modernity.

The city announced on the 11th that it will host the "Goyang Harmony: K-Walk by the Han River" event on the 17th at Haengjusanseong Fortress and the Han Riverside Deck.

The event features K-tourism content that showcases Korea's unique charm, including wearing hanbok, enjoying a Cheongsa Lantern ceremony, a fusion Gugak performance, and experiencing K-snacks.

The event will be attended by 38 Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Global Aviation Policy Fellowship trainees from 31 countries.

Participants range from students newly arriving in Korea to those who have lived in the Korea Aerospace University dormitory for a year.

The day's program begins with participants wearing hanbok (traditional Korean attire) and carrying traditional Korean lanterns, strolling along the Haengjusanseong Riverside Trail and taking in the nighttime views.

Following this, they will watch a fusion Korean traditional music performance at Chunguijeong Pavilion and sample representative Korean snacks like gimbap (rice rolls), ramen (ramen noodles), tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes), and fish cakes.

The city anticipates that this event will provide a special cultural experience for the trainees, who have had limited opportunities to experience Korean culture due to their academic pursuits.

Goyang Mayor Lee Dong-hwan stated, "The BTS and K-pop craze has led to a surge in foreign tourists visiting Korea, and the 'Goyang Concert' held at Goyang Sports Complex attracted over 810,000 visitors. He added, "If the students from various countries who participated in this systematically planned K-Pop event promote it on their personal social media accounts, they will all become excellent ambassadors for Goyang City."

The Haengjusanseong Riverside Trail, where the event will be held, is a 750-meter-long, 2.2-meter-wide barrier-free deck along the Han River, stretching from the confluence of the Changneungcheon Stream to the Haengjusanseong Historical Park.

Recent lighting has transformed the trail into a safe and beautiful nighttime stroll.

Meanwhile, the city plans to further enhance the program with the re-designation of the Haengjusanseong Night Festival, "Haengju is Art," a signature night festival at Goyang's Haengjusanseong Fortress, as a National Heritage Night Tour in 2026.
