경기도파주교육지원청은 5월 20일 파주지역에서 자율선택급식을 운영 중인 심학고등학교를 방문해 급식 운영 현장을 점검하고, 학생·교사·급식관계자들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.

이번 방문은 파주교육지원청이 추진 중인 ‘자율선택급식 운영학교 내실화 지원 계획’의 일환으로, 학생의 자율성과 선택권을 존중하는 건강한 급식 문화를 조성하기 위해 마련됐다. 

심학고등학교는 2024년 3월 개교와 동시에 자율선택급식을 도입해 학생들의 건강 증진은 물론, 자기주도적 사고와 올바른 식생활 습관 형성에 기여하고 있다.

현장을 찾은 전선아 교육장은 “자율선택급식은 단순한 식사 제공을 넘어 학생이 건강한 삶을 영위하고 미래사회를 준비할 수 있도록 돕는 중요한 교육활동”이라며, “교육공동체 모두가 함께 만들어가는 급식 문화가 정착될 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

파주교육지원청은 앞으로도 학생의 자율성과 건강을 중심으로 한 미래형 급식 문화 조성을 위해 학교 현장 지원을 지속적으로 이어갈 계획이다.[파주=빅정호 기자]

On May 20, the Gyeonggi-do Paju Office of Education visited Simhak High School, which operates a self-selection meal service, to inspect the meal service operation site and communicate with students, teachers, and meal service staff.

Superintendent Jeon Seon-ah, who visited the site, said, “Self-selection meal service is an important educational activity that goes beyond simply providing meals to help students lead healthy lives and prepare for the future society,” and added, “We will actively support the establishment of a meal service culture that the entire educational community creates together.”
