파주경찰서는 3월 12일 운광초등학교에서 신학기 학교폭력·청소년 범죄 예방을 위한 등교맞이 캠페인을 펼쳤다.

경찰서장, SPO·운정 야당지구대와 운광초등학교장 및 교사, 학생회 등이 함께 신학기를 맞은 청소년들의 새로운 출발을 응원하면서 학교폭력 예방 분위기를 조성 및 근절을 위해 실시하였다.

학교폭력 예방 문구가 담긴 홍보 물품을 등교하는 학생들에게 전달하며 학교폭력 신고 방법과 청소년 허위영상물(딥페이크)·사이버도박 등 청소년 대상 범죄의 위험성을 알리고 예방법에 대해 홍보하였다.

정덕진 파주경찰서장은 파주 관내는 도시계획에 따라 인구가 지속 유입되고 있는데 특히 청소년 인구가 급증하고 있는 만큼 청소년이 안전한 환경이 무엇보다 중요하다면서,3월 ‘신학기 학교폭력 예방 집중 활동기간’ 동안 SPO 학교 방문 및 범죄예방교실 운영 등 교육기관과 지속적으로 협력하며 청소년 보호와 범죄예방 활동에 최선을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.[파주=빅정호 기자]
