한국법무보호복지공단 경기북부지부는 3월11일 경기북부지부 회의실에서 보호복지위원회 고유사업인 ‘푸른 꿈 장학금’ 전달식을 진행하였다.

이 날 수여식에는 양희철 경기북부지부장과 법무보호위원 경기북부지부 보호복지위원회 최대현 회장을 비롯한 위원들이 참석하였으며, 심사를 통해 선정된 법무보호대상자 세 가정에 장학금 전달식이 진행되었다.

푸른꿈 장학금은 법무부 법무보호위원 경기북부지부 보호복지위원회에서 후원하는 장학금으로써 초·중·고교 및 대학교에 재학 중이고, 가정형편은 어렵지만 성실하고 모범적이거나 학업성적이 우수한 경기북부지부 보호대상자 자녀에게 소정의 학비를 지원하여 어려운 환경을 비관한 탈선 예방과 범죄의 대물림이라는 악순환의 고리를 끊는 데 목적이 있다. 

최대현 회장은 “어려운 환경속에서도 굴하지 않고 학업에 정진하여 우리나라에 이바지할 수 있는 사람으로 성장하길 바라고 또 그렇게 할 수 있도록 부모님들이 잘 도움을 주었으면 한다고”고 말했으며,

양희철 지부장은 “매번 법무보호대상자 자녀의 지원을 위해 힘써주시는 최대현 회장님을 비롯해 보호복지위원회 위원님들에게 감사의 말씀을 전하며, 장학금 대상자로 선정된 가구의 부모님들께서 자녀들의 학업을 위해 지속해서 노력해주시기를 바라겠다.고 말했다.
