고양특례시는 지난 12일 특성화고등학교 학생들의 취업을 지원하는 ‘2025년 특성화고 취업지원사업’간담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이 날 간담회에는 고용노동부 고양지청, 경기영상과학고, 고양고, 신일비지니스고, 일산고, 일산컨벤션고 취업 지원 담당자들이 참석해 2025년 특성화고 취업지원사업 세부방안을 논의했다.

시는 고양시통합일자리센터와 함께 고양에서 배우고 취업하는 선순환 시스템을 구축하고, 청년들이 고양에서 안정된 미래를 보장받을 수 있는 기반 마련에 박차를 가한다는 계획이다.

특성화고 취업지원사업은 ▲학생들의 취업역량을 강화하고 취업의식을 고취하는 학교로 찾아가는 진로상담데이 ▲채용으로 연계할 수 있는 현장실습과 기업 발굴 ▲기업의 직무이해도 증진을 위한 고양시잡투어 ▲특성화고등학교 일자리박람회 ▲직무멘토링 등으로 구성됐다. 고양고용센터 등 기관에서 청년지원정책 특강도 실시할 예정이다. 

특히 올해 진로상담데이는 특성화고등학교인 경기영상과학고를 시작으로 고양고, 신일비즈니스고, 일산고, 일산국제컨벤션고를 대상으로 하며, 4월에서 11월까지 주 5회, 총 142회 진행한다.

이와 더불어 특성화고 학생들에게 직접적으로 필요한 관내 우수기업과 기관을 연계해 학생들이 졸업 전에 취업의 결실을 맺을 수 있도록 적극 지원할 계획이다. 

한편, 시는 지난해 진로상담데이를 총 44회 운영해 특성화고등학교 5개소, 학생 1,410명이 도움을 받은 바 있다. 또한 산학협력의 필요성과 실천에 대한 공감을 바탕으로 고양특례시와 고용노동부 고양지청, 우수기업 등 14개 기관과 손을 맞잡았다.  

왕연우 일자리정책과장은 “특성화고 학생들의 취업에 대한 긍정적 마인드를 제고하기 위해 역량 강화 교육 프로그램을 운영하는 등 지원을 강화해 나갈 것”이라며 “기업에서 필요한 인재를 매칭해 고양시 학생들이 지역 기업에 취업할 수 있도록 돕겠다”라고 밝혔다.
