고양특례시는 지난 10일 중부대학교 고양창의캠퍼스에서 미디어·방송영상콘텐츠를 교육하고 제작할 수 있는 ‘GY(고양) STUDIO X’를 개소했다고 밝혔다.

고양시 교육발전특구 시범지역 운영사업의 일환으로 조성된‘GY(고양) STUDIO X’는 미디어·방송영상콘텐츠 분야의 두각을 나타내고 있는 중부대학교에서 운영할 계획이다.

‘GY(고양) STUDIO X’조성 사업은 고양시 교육발전특구 사업의 핵심목표 중 하나인 산업기반 인재양성을 위해 시 예산 지원을 통해 추진됐다. 

고양경제자유구역, 고양방송영상밸리 등 시가 추진하는 핵심 자족시설에 필요한 인재 양성의 발판이 될 것으로 기대된다.

이번에 조성된 ‘GY(고양) STUDIO X’는 라이브 커머스, 팟캐스트 등 다양한 콘텐츠를 제작할 수 있는 최첨단 방송 시스템을 갖추고 있으며, 영상 편집실 등 전문적인 미디어 제작 환경도 함께 마련됐다.

이를 통해 고양시 학생들이 실무에 가까운 환경에서 창의적인 콘텐츠를 제작하고, 미디어 산업 현장에서 요구하는 역량을 기를 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
