고양특례시 덕양구는 지난 4일 덕양구청 소회의실에서 동네체육시설 유지관리 봉사단(동네체육시설 안전지킴이)에 지원한 자원봉사자를 대상으로 활동 전반에 대한 교육을 실시하며 활동을 시작했다.

구는 지난 1월부터 2월까지 구청과 동 행정복지센터에 봉사단 모집 안내문을 부착하는 등 홍보활동을 실시했으며, 동네체육시설을 자주 이용하는 주민들이 자발적으로 지원했다. 

관내 33개소(274점) 동네체육시설(공원, 하천 제외)을 대상으로 총 46명의 자원봉사자가 지원했으며, 교육에는 29명이 참석했다. 

교육에서는 ▲문화체육팀장의 강의 ▲현장 사진 예시를 통한 문제점 파악 ▲봉사단의 주요 임무 ▲고장 신고 유형 ▲봉사활동 시 안전 유의사항 ▲자원봉사 시간 인증 기준 등을 주요 내용으로 다뤘다. 

또한 봉사단에 시설관리카드, 점검표, 자원봉사 등록신청서 등 교육안내문을 배포했다. 특히 고양시자원봉사센터 도우미 6명이 회원가입을 하지 않은 봉사자들을 대상으로 봉사시간 실적 등록 및 보험 적용을 위해 필수인 회원가입을 도왔다. 

교육 미참석자에 대해서는 2025년 상반기 전수점검 시 점검 방법과 안전 유의사항 등이 적힌 자료를 전달하고 회원가입을 안내할 예정이다. 

또한 오는 3월 중순부터 33개소에 청소도구함을 별도 설치하며 현장 교육도 실시할 예정이다.

한편, 이날 한찬희 덕양구청장이 교육 장소를 방문해 자원봉사자들을 격려하며 “궂은 날씨에도 발걸음해 주신 봉사자분들께 감사드리면서 이런 날씨에 야외에 있는 운동기구를 관리하는 데는 큰 어려움이 있다.”라며 “지역 사회의 일원으로서 자원봉사 활동에 앞장서 준 체육시설 유지관리 봉사단의  적극적인 활동을 기대한다.”라고 전했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
