고양특례시 덕양구 관산동은 지난 5일 통장협의회를 비롯한 직능단체의 참여 속에 봄을 맞아 관산동 마을 대청소를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

깨끗한 주변 환경을 통해 주민 모두에게 쾌적한 봄의 모습을 선사하기 위해 추진한 이번 활동에는 관산동 직능단체 회원과 주민 등 약 70명이 참여했다. 

대청소는 관내 청소 취약구역을 중심으로 무단투기 쓰레기를 수거하고 가로 환경을 정비하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 이른 아침 추운 날씨에도 불구하고 지역 구성원들이 한마음으로 참여하며 눈에 띄는 성과를 거두었다.

남기준 관산동장은 “추운 날씨 속에서도 대청소에 참여해 주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사하다. 깨끗한 관산동을 만들기 위한 노력이 계속되길 바란다”라고 밝혔다.

신동심 통장협의회장은 “대청소 행사는 주민들과 단체가 힘을 모아 관산동의 환경을 정비하고 공동체 의식을 고취하는 뜻깊은 계기가 되었을 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지속 가능한 지역 발전을 위한 다양한 행사를 이어 나가겠다.”라고 전했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
