고양특례시 덕양구 화정1동 지역사회보장협의체에서는 지난 6일, 취약계층 어르신들을 대상으로 찾아가는 ‘행복마사지’ 특화사업을 실시했다.

행복마사지 사업은 지역사회보장협의체 위원의 재능기부를 통해 이뤄지며, 거동이 불편한 대상자 가정에 직접 방문하여 발 마사지를 해드리고 말벗도 되어 드린다. 

이를 통해 어르신들의 정서적 안정을 돕고 삶의 활력을 증진 시키는 목적으로 추진된 화정1동 특화사업이다.

마사지를 받으신 어르신은 “발에 붓기가 있어 통증이 심했는데 마사지를 받고 나니 혈액순환이 되어 통증 완화에 도움이 되었다.”라고 고마움을 전했다.

고성순 지역사회보장협의체 위원장은 “행복마사지 사업을 통해 지역 주민들의 건강을 확인하고 말벗이 되어 드릴 수 있어 큰 보람을 느낀다.”라며 “앞으로도 지역 주민들의 목소리를 귀 기울여 듣고 지속적인 관심과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다.”라고 말했다.[고양=박정호 기자]
