보안용지 전문기업 (주)맥토피아가 위조방지용지를 세계최초로 디지털방식으로 제작할 수 있는 기술을 개발하여 특허를 등록했다고 3일 밝혔다.

㈜맥토피아는 이번에 취득한 특허 뿐만 아니라 복사방해용지 제작특허, QR코드의 복제방지기술, 반사체인쇄물 적용기술, 난수넘버링의 복사방해패턴기술 등 시험성적서의 위조방지와 정품인증용 택(Tag)에 적용할 수 있는 다수의 특허기술을 보유하고 있으며, 현재 국내·외 300여개의 공공·민간기업에 성적서용 보안용지를 공급하고 있다고 밝혔다.

보안용지 업계관계자는 “그동안 위·변조방지 기능이 적용된 성적서 용지를 구매하기 위해서는 제작공정의 특성상 소량 생산이 어려워 어쩔 수 없이 대량구매만 가능했던 것이 현실이었다”고 전했다.

사정이 이렇다보니, 국내 4,000여개의 시험인증 기관 중 다수의 기관들이 위조방지용 보안용지를 적용하지 못하고 있다.
