파주시가 행정안전부가 주관한 '2026년 재난관리평가'에서 재난관리 역량을 인정받아 우수기관으로 선정됐다.

재난관리평가는 「재난 및 안전관리 기본법」에 따라 행정안전부가 매년 실시하는 전국 단위 종합평가로, 중앙행정기관과 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 전국 340개 재난관리책임기관을 대상으로 재난관리 전 과정에 대한 역량을 종합적으로 평가하는 제도다.

 예방, 대비, 대응, 복구 등 재난관리 전 단계를 아우르는 다양한 지표를 통해 기관별 대응 역량을 검증한다.

파주시는 이번 평가에서 재난예방과 재난대비, 재난대응, 재난복구 등 모든 분야에서 고르게 높은 점수를 획득하며 우수한 재난관리 체계를 입증했다.

시는 시민이 체감할 수 있는 안전한 생활환경 조성을 위해 평소 재난 예방과 대응체계를 지속적으로 강화해 온 점이 높은 평가를 받았다. 

범시민 안전교육과 안전문화운동을 꾸준히 추진하고 재난 유형별 맞춤형 안전점검을 실시하는 등 사전 예방 활동을 체계적으로 운영했으며, 재난 발생에 대비한 사전 대응체계를 구축하고 신속한 상황관리와 현장 중심 대응체계를 운영한 점도 우수사례로 인정받았다. 

또한 현장수습 역량을 강화하고 재해구호 기반시설을 체계적으로 확보하는 등 복구 단계까지 빈틈없는 재난관리 시스템을 구축한 점 역시 좋은 평가를 이끌어냈다.

이번 우수기관 선정은 민선 9기 파주시가 시정의 핵심 가치로 내세운 '안전·안심을 바탕으로 한 모두가 누리는 행복도시' 실현을 위한 노력이 실질적인 성과로 이어졌다는 점에서 의미를 더하고 있다.
