고양특례시가 올여름 기록적인 폭염이 예고된 가운데 폭염 취약계층인 어르신들의 안전한 여름나기를 위해 선제적인 보호대책을 본격 가동한다.

고양시는 9일 폭염으로 인한 어르신들의 건강 피해를 예방하고 안전한 생활을 지원하기 위해 ‘여름철 노인맞춤돌봄서비스 사업 돌봄노인 폭염대비 보호대책’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

시는 노인맞춤돌봄서비스 수행기관 10개소와 협력체계를 구축하고 폭염 특보 발효 시 고위험군 어르신의 안전을 실시간으로 확인하는 비상 대응 시스템을 운영한다. 

이에 따라 전담사회복지사와 생활지원사들이 직접 가정을 방문하거나 전화 상담을 통해 어르신들의 건강 상태를 수시로 점검하고 이상 징후를 신속히 파악할 계획이다.
