더불어민주당 기호 1번 민경선 고양시장 후보가 일산시장에서 대규모 집중유세를 펼치며 막판 표심 잡기에 총력을 기울였다. 

민 후보는 “불통과 무능으로 점철된 지난 4년을 끝내고 중앙정부와 함께 고양의 새로운 도약을 이뤄내겠다”며 정권 심판론과 지역 발전론을 동시에 강조했다.

이날 유세 현장에는 지역구 국회의원인 이기헌 의원과 김영환 의원을 비롯해 시·도의원 후보들이 대거 참석해 민 후보 지원 유세에 나섰다.

장날을 맞아 시장을 찾은 시민들과 상인들은 “전통시장과 지역경제를 꼭 살려달라”며 기대감을 나타냈다.

지원 연설에 나선 이기헌·김영환 의원은 “이재명 정부 출범 이후 경제 회복과 민생 정상화의 기반이 마련되고 있다”며 “중앙정부와 발맞춰 고양시 발전을 이끌 유능한 민주당 지방정부가 반드시 필요하다”고 강조했다.

민 후보는 이날 유세에서 교통·일자리·문화를 중심으로 한 ‘3대 혁신’ 공약도 집중 부각했다. 

먼저 교통 혁신 분야에서는 전 경기교통공사 사장 경력을 내세우며 마을·시내·광역버스 체계 전면 개편과 지하철 연계 환승 시스템 개선, 신호체계 혁신 등을 통해 시민 출퇴근 시간을 30분 단축하겠다고 약속했다.

또한 미래산업 유치를 통한 청년 일자리 창출 방안도 제시했다. 민 후보는 한국항공대학교 와 연계한 도심항공교통(UAM) 산업 유치와 항공우주 거점도시 조성을 추진하겠다고 밝혔다. 

아울러 세계적인 게임 특화 대학인 디지펜공과대학 유치도 적극 추진해 청년 인재 양성과 첨단산업 기반을 동시에 구축하겠다는 구상이다.

지역 현안 해결과 상권 활성화 방안도 내놓았다. 

민 후보는 장기간 표류 중인 K-컬처밸리 사업의 아레나 중심 조기 착공을 추진하고, 지역화폐인 고양페이의 인센티브와 발행 규모를 경기도 최고 수준으로 확대해 소상공인과 골목상권에 실질적인 도움이 되도록 하겠다고 밝혔다.

민경선 후보는 “선거는 잘하면 기회를 주고, 못하면 심판하는 시민의 신성한 권리”라며 “지난 4년간 발전 동력을 잃고 소통이 단절됐던 고양시를 다시 뛰게 만들기 위해 사전투표와 본투표에서 변화와 혁신을 선택해 달라”고 호소했다.

유세를 마친 민 후보는 저녁 장보기에 나선 시민들과 전통시장 상인들을 일일이 만나 애로사항을 청취하고 기념사진을 촬영하는 등 현장 중심의 소통 행보를 이어갔다.

Min Kyung-sun, the top-ranked candidate for Goyang Mayor from The Moro Party, held a large-scale intensive campaign rally at Ilsan Market to secure the final votes.
