더불어민주당 민경선 고양시장 후보가 고양시청사 이전 문제로 장기간 이어진 갈등을 매듭짓고, 시민 중심의 통합 행정을 통해 무너진 행정 신뢰를 회복하겠다는 강한 의지를 밝혔다.

민경선 후보는 27일 오전 고양시청 앞에서 ‘씽씽 유세 2탄’을 열고 고양신청사의 ‘주교동 원안 건립’을 신속히 추진하겠다고 공식 선언했다.

이날 유세에는 임유진·류기준 경기도의원 후보와 임홍열·김보경·김효금 고양시의원 후보 등 더불어민주당 지역 출마자들이 함께 참석해 지방선거 승리를 위한 원팀 결의를 다졌다.

민 후보는 “지난 4년간 시청사 이전을 둘러싼 갈등으로 시민들의 피로감과 행정 불신이 극에 달했다”며 “행정의 가장 중요한 가치는 일관성과 신뢰”라고 강조했다. 

이어 “시장에 당선되는 즉시 인수위원회 제1과제로 ‘주교동 원안 건립’을 채택하겠다”며 “경기도와 긴밀히 협력해 그린벨트 해제 등 관련 행정 절차를 신속하게 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
