경기북부보훈지청이 청년 세대의 참신한 시각을 통해 보훈 문화를 알리기 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.

경기북부보훈지청은 지난 12일 경민대학교 효행관 라아홀에서 2026년 공식 대학생 서포터즈 ‘보자기’ 발대식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

‘보자기’는 ‘보훈을 자세히 기억하고 알리다’라는 의미를 담은 명칭으로, 미래 세대가 보훈의 가치를 보다 친숙하게 접하고 공감할 수 있도록 하기 위해 기획됐다. 

이번 서포터즈는 경민대학교 효충군사학과 재학생 6명으로 구성됐으며, 신정원 학과장의 지도 아래 다양한 홍보 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

이날 발대식에서는 박용주 지청장이 선발된 학생들에게 직접 위촉장을 수여하며 보훈 문화 확산을 위한 민간 홍보대사로서의 역할과 책임을 당부했다.

서포터즈는 오는 11월까지 약 7개월 동안 온·오프라인을 아우르는 다양한 활동을 진행하게 된다. 

보훈 정책과 경기북부 지역 현충시설, 6·25전쟁 영웅들의 이야기를 담은 디지털 콘텐츠를 제작하는 한편, 개인 SNS 채널을 활용해 국민 눈높이에 맞춘 보훈 소식을 전달할 계획이다.

또한 경기북부보훈지청이 주관하는 주요 보훈 행사에도 직접 참여해 현장의 생생한 이야기를 공유할 예정이다.

조윤성 서포터즈 단장은 “청년 세대가 자연스럽게 공감할 수 있는 이야기를 전달하고 싶다”며 “단원들과 함께 현장을 직접 체험하면서 더 많은 사람들이 보훈에 관심을 가질 수 있도록 적극적으로 활동하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

경기북부보훈지청은 활동 종료 후인 11월 해단식에서 우수 활동자 3명을 선정해 표창장을 수여하는 등 서포터즈의 활동 성과를 격려할 계획이다.
