국가보훈부 경기북부제대군인지원센터가 제대군인들의 안정적인 사회 복귀와 취업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 실질적인 지원에 나섰다.

센터는 지난 12일 경기도 남양주시에 위치한 북부신진중장비직업전문학교에서 ‘굴착기 및 지게차 운전기능사 자격증 취득 실기과정’ 수료식을 개최하고 교육을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

이번 교육은 제대군인 위탁교육사업의 일환으로 추진됐으며, 지난 4월 20일부터 약 3주간 진행됐다. 

교육에는 제대군인 11명이 참여했으며 전원이 수료하는 성과를 거뒀다.

교육 과정은 굴착기와 지게차 운전기능사 자격증 취득을 목표로 실기 중심의 커리큘럼으로 운영됐다.

참가자들은 실제 중장비를 활용한 현장 맞춤형 실습을 통해 장비 운용 능력과 실무 적응력을 높이며 건설기계 분야 취업에 필요한 전문 역량을 집중적으로 익혔다.

특히 단순 이론 교육을 넘어 실제 현장과 유사한 환경에서 장비를 직접 운전하는 실전형 교육이 이뤄져 교육생들의 만족도가 높았던 것으로 전해졌다. 

수강생들은 “재취업 준비에 실질적인 도움이 되는 유익한 시간이었다”고 입을 모았다.

경기북부제대군인지원센터 관계자는 “이번 과정은 제대군인들이 사회에서 안정적으로 일자리를 찾을 수 있도록 취업 경쟁력을 높이는 데 중점을 두고 운영됐다”며 “앞으로도 전문 교육기관과의 협력을 강화해 제대군인들의 성공적인 사회 정착과 경제적 자립을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 국가보훈부 제대군인지원센터는 군 복무를 마친 장병들의 원활한 사회 복귀를 위해 직무 역량 강화를 위한 위탁교육, 1대1 맞춤형 취업 상담, 구인·구직 연계, 교육비 지원, 창업 컨설팅 등 다양한 지원 사업을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

This training was conducted as part of the commissioned education program for veterans and ran for approximately three weeks starting from April 20.

Eleven veterans participated in the course, and all of them successfully completed it.

The training program was operated with a practical curriculum focused on acquiring Excavator and Forklift Operator Craftsman certificates. Participants enhanced their equipment operation skills and practical adaptability through field-tailored training using actual heavy equipment, while intensively acquiring the professional competencies necessary for employment in the construction machinery sector.

In particular, it was reported that trainees expressed high satisfaction as the program went beyond simple theoretical education to provide practical training where they directly operated equipment in an environment similar to actual construction sites.

The students unanimously stated, "It was a beneficial time that provided practical help in preparing for re-employment."

An official from the Gyeonggi Northern Veterans Support Center stated, "This course was operated with a focus on enhancing employment competitiveness so that veterans can find stable jobs in society," adding, "We will continue to strengthen cooperation with specialized educational institutions to actively support the successful social settlement and economic independence of veterans."

Meanwhile, the Veterans Support Center under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs is continuously implementing various support programs to facilitate the smooth reintegration of soldiers who have completed their military service into society.
