고양특례시가 취업취약계층의 민생경제 회복을 위한 2026년 제1단계 공공근로사업을 12일부터 본격 추진한다.

시는 지난해 11월 진행한 신청 접수에서 550명이 지원해 4.7대 1의 경쟁률을 기록했으며, 최종 119명을 선발했다고 밝혔다.

선발된 근로자들은 오는 4월 말까지 무단투기 집중 관리지역 환경미화, 건축물대장 전산화 작업, 고양시 드론비행장 이용객 안전관리, 브랜드 관광기념품관 등 공공시설 운영·관리 등 다양한 분야에 배치돼 근무하게 된다.

참여 자격은 실직 상태 또는 정기적인 소득이 없으면서 재산 4억 8천만 원 미만, 기준중위소득 60% 이하 등의 조건을 충족하는 18세 이상 고양시민이다. 

근무시간은 65세 미만의 경우 주 25시간, 65세 이상은 주 15시간이며, 2026년 최저임금인 시간당 10,320원과 부대경비, 주휴·월차수당 등이 지급된다.

시 관계자는 "취업취약계층에 한시적인 일자리를 제공해 사업 참여 시민들이 일정기간 소득을 보전하고 공공일자리 경험을 통해 안정적인 일자리를 찾는 데 실질적인 도움이 되도록 사업을 내실있게 운영하겠다"고 말했다.

한편, 공공근로사업은 연중 3단계에 걸쳐 운영되며, 제2단계 공공근로사업은 오는 3월 중 각 주소지 행정복지센터에서 신청을 받아 5월부터 업무를 시작할 예정이다.
