파주시가 공릉호수를 시민들의 야간 휴식처이자 대표 관광 명소로 조성하기 위한 '공릉호수 경관조명 조성 1단계 사업'을 완료했다고 밝혔다.

총사업비 18억 원이 투입되는 이번 '공릉관광지 경관조명 조성사업'은 공릉호수 순환산책로 총 2.2km 구간을 대상으로 단계적으로 추진된다.

자연환경과 조화를 이루는 야간경관 조성을 목표로, 과도한 조명을 지양하고 보행 안전성과 경관 품질을 모두 고려한 것이 특징이다.

1단계로 추진된 1.1km 구간은 '경기도 관광자원개발사업'에 선정되어 도비 4억 원과 시비 4억 원을 확보했으며, 올 1월 초 경관조명 조성을 완료했다. 

나머지 1.1km 구간은 시비 10억 원을 투입해 2026년 6월까지 마무리할 예정이다.

주요 사업 내용으로는 공릉호수 순환산책로 조도 개선, 수변 경관을 살린 간접조명 설치, 인도교 구간 야간 경관조명 도입 등이 포함됐다.

이를 통해 어두웠던 공간에 생동감을 더하고 풍부한 볼거리와 활력 있는 보행 환경을 조성함으로써, 시민들이 보다 편안하게 산책하고 휴식을 즐길 수 있게 됐다.

1단계 구간에는 공릉호수의 고유한 수변 경관을 강조하는 은은한 조명 연출을 적용했다. 

2단계 구간에는 다양한 조형물과 특화 조명을 설치해 공릉호수를 낮과 밤 모두 찾고 싶은 명소로 발전시킬 계획이다.
