2026년을 맞아 고양문화재단이 클래식부터 뮤지컬, 연극까지 아우르는 다채로운 공연 라인업을 선보이며 고양시를 문화예술의 도시로 각인시킬 준비에 나섰다. 

세계적 수준의 아티스트와 작품들이 잇따라 무대에 오를 예정으로, 시민들에게는 일상 속에서 수준 높은 문화 향유의 기회를 제공하고 도시 전체에는 문화적 활력을 불어넣을 것으로 기대된다.

고양문화재단은 2025년 해외 음악계와의 성공적인 교류를 바탕으로, 2026년에는 세계 정상급 아티스트들과의 협연을 한층 확대해 클래식, 뮤지컬, 연극, 창극 등 장르의 경계를 넘나드는 프로그램을 선보일 계획이며 이를 통해 고양을 국제 문화예술 도시로 자리매김시키겠다는 구상이다.

새해의 문을 여는 첫 공연은 상주단체인 고잉홈프로젝트가 맡는다. 

고양의 클래식 브랜드 강화를 목표로 한 이번 무대는 특별 협연 프로그램으로 구성되며, 1월 10일 열리는 아람누리 신년 갈라콘서트에서는 윤별발레단과 협업해 라벨의 볼레로를 컨템포러리 안무와 결합한 새로운 무대로 선보인다. 

이어 12월 19일 송년음악회에서는 지역 예술가들과 함께 베토벤 교향곡 9번 합창을 연주하며 2026년의 대미를 장식할 예정이다.

세계적인 오케스트라들의 내한 공연도 이어진다. 

3월 18일에는 오스트리아 잘츠부르크 모차르테움 오케스트라가 바이올리니스트 양인모와 협연해 빈 클래식의 정통성과 현대적 감각이 어우러진 무대를 선보이며, 10월에는 오스트리아 고음악 연주단체 아트하우스 17이 시대악기 연주와 음악극적 요소를 결합한 공연으로 관객과 만난다. 

이들 공연은 클래식 애호가뿐만 아니라 입문자들에게도 친근한 무대로 다가갈 전망이다.

뮤지컬과 연극 분야에서도 기대작들이 대거 포함됐다.

화려한 무대와 드라마틱한 음악으로 사랑받아온 뮤지컬 엘리자벳을 비롯해 김준수와 유태평양이 출연하는 남성창극 살로메, 서울시극단의 백상예술대상 수상작 연극 퉁소소리가 무대에 오르며 여기에 토니상 6관왕과 전 회차 매진 기록으로 작품성을 입증한 K뮤지컬 어쩌면 해피엔딩도 다시 한번 관객을 만날 예정이다.
