국민의힘 고양시정 당원협의회가 2026년 새해 첫 공식 일정으로 현충탑과 태극단 묘역을 찾아 순국선열과 호국영령을 추모하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.

5일 오전 11시 거행된 이번 신년참배에는 정문식 당협위원장을 비롯해 고양시정 소속 시·도의원, 운영위원 등 당직자 20여 명이 참석했다.

참석자들은 새해 첫날부터 나라를 위해 희생하신 분들을 기리며 애국정신을 되새기고, 고양시민을 위한 헌신을 다짐했다.

참배 일행은 먼저 고양시 현충탑을 찾아 순국선열 및 호국영령에 대한 묵념과 헌화를 올리며 경건한 마음으로 참배를 시작했다. 

위패실에는 정문식 당협위원장의 근조화환이 설치되어 숙연한 분위기를 조성했으며, 이어 충혼탑으로 자리를 옮겨 이름 없이 조국을 지킨 무명용사들의 숭고한 희생정신을 기렸다.

특히 이날 참배는 덕이동에 위치한 태극단 묘역까지 이어지며 그 의미를 더했다. 

태극단 선양회 양흥모 회장이 직접 동행해 6.25 전쟁 당시 고양 지역을 지키기 위해 헌신한 태극단의 창설 배경과 활동상을 상세히 설명하며, 참배객들에게 잊혀져가는 호국의 역사를 되새기는 소중한 시간을 제공했다.
