고양도시관리공사가 보건복지부와 한국사회복지협의회가 공동 주관하는 '지역사회공헌인정제'에서 5년 연속 인정기업으로 선정되는 쾌거를 달성했다고 5일 밝혔다.

'지역사회공헌 인정제'는 지역사회 발전을 위해 모범적으로 사회공헌 활동을 수행한 기관과 기업을 공식적으로 인정하는 제도다. 

공사는 유형Ⅱ(지방공공기관) 종합 심사에서 우수한 평가를 받으며 2021년부터 2025년까지 5년 연속 인정기업 명단에 이름을 올렸다.

공사는 그동안 사내 봉사단을 중심으로 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 전개해 왔다. 

주요 활동으로는 관내 긴급 수해복구 활동, 단체헌혈, 김장 나눔 등이 있으며, 취약 노인을 대상으로 격월 생필품을 지원하고 명절마다 나눔 행사를 진행했다. 

또한 관내 농가를 대상으로 한 퇴비 지원 등 지역 상생사업과 성금 기부 등을 통해 지역사회 복지 증진과 공동체 강화에 앞장서 왔다.

강승필 사장은 "5년 연속 지역사회공헌 인정기업으로 선정된 것은 임직원 모두가 지속적인 나눔과 사회적 책임을 실천해 온 결과"라며 "앞으로도 지역사회와 시민이 함께 웃는 도시를 만들기 위한 노력을 계속하여 6년 연속 지역사회 공헌 인정기업 선정에 도전하겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.
