이동환 고양특례시장이 13일 오전 2026학년도 대학수학능력시험이 실시된 주엽고등학교를 방문해 수험생들을 직접 격려하며 응원의 메시지를 전했다.

이 시장은 시험장으로 향하는 학생들에게 "화이팅!", "수능 만점은 고양에서!" 등의 구호를 외치며 따뜻한 격려를 건넸다.

한 수험생이 도시락 숟가락을 챙기지 못해 난처해하자, 이를 알게 된 이 시장이 직접 차량에서 일회용 숟가락을 찾아 건네며 학생과 학부모를 안심시켰다.

올해 고양특례시의 수능 응시자는 총 13,389명으로, 주엽고등학교를 포함한 28개 시험장에서 시험이 진행됐다. 

특히 성사고등학교는 경증 시각장애 등 장애인 수험생을 위한 특별 시험장으로 운영되며, 일반 시험장보다 늦은 오후 8시 25분까지 시험이 이어질 예정이다.

시는 수능을 앞두고 관내 모든 시험장에 "수능 필수 준비물, 자신감 꼭 챙겨가세요!"라는 현수막을 설치해 수험생들이 필수 준비물을 잊지 않도록 안내하는 한편, 마지막까지 자신감을 유지할 수 있도록 응원했다.
