파주시가 운정2동 주민들의 행정복지 편의를 높이기 위한 새로운 행정복지센터 건립에 본격 착수했다.

파주시는 지난 5일 목동동 656번지 일원에서 운정2동 행정복지센터 착공식을 개최하고 공사에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에는 김경일 파주시장과 지역 주민 등 100여 명이 참석해 새로운 행정복지센터의 성공적인 건립을 기원했다. 

행사장에는 센터 조감도와 사업 안내자료가 전시돼 참석자들의 큰 관심을 받았다.

운정2동 행정복지센터는 총사업비 258억 원을 투입해 2027년 6월 준공을 목표로 추진된다. 

센터는 연면적 6,117㎡, 지하 2층~지상 4층 규모로 조성된다.

층별 시설 구성을 보면, 1층에는 종합민원실이 들어서 주민들의 민원 처리가 이뤄진다. 

2~3층에는 회의실과 주민자치실이 마련돼 주민 자치활동과 커뮤니티 공간으로 활용된다. 

4층에는 아동보호전문기관이 입주할 예정이다.

특히 이번 센터의 특징은 아동보호전문기관을 특화시설로 배치해 아동 친화적 환경을 조성한다는 점이다.
