동패고등학교에 재학 중이며 파주시청소년참여위원회 위원장으로 활동 중인 최고원 청소년이 ‘2025년 청소년의 달’을 맞아 경기도지사 표창을 수상했다.

수상자는 남다른 봉사와 품행으로 경기도 청소년의 바른 성장에 귀감이 된다는 평가를 받았다.

이번 표창은 도내 청소년 가운데 타의 모범이 되는 인물을 선정해 수여하는 권위 있는 상이다. 

최고원 청소년은 파주시청소년참여위원회를 대표해 청소년 권익 증진에 앞장서 왔으며, 2024년 여성가족부 주최 ‘지역 청소년참여위원회 우수사례 공모전’에서 장관상을 수상하며 전국 우수사례로 선정된 바 있다.

이와 함께 파주시와 (재)파주시청소년재단이 추진한 ‘청소년 참여 활성화 사업’에 참여해 정책 아이디어 공모전 심사, 청소년 참여축제 및 참여학교 기획 등 다양한 활동을 이어왔다. 

또 파주시 이동시장실 100회 행사에서 청소년참여기구 대표로 경과보고 발표와 사회를 맡으며 지역 청소년을 대표하는 역할을 해왔다.

청소년의 달 및 성년의 날 기념행사 사회, 지역 축제 부스 기획·운영 등 현장에서도 활발한 활동을 이어가며 청소년 권익을 위한 실질적 기여를 이어가고 있다.

파주시청소년재단 원희복 대표이사는 “최고원 청소년의 수상은 파주시 청소년들이 지역사회 안에서 주체적으로 활동하고 있음을 보여주는 상징적인 사례”라며 “앞으로도 청소년들이 목소리를 낼 수 있도록 다양한 활동을 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Choi Go-won, a Dongpae High School student and chair of the Paju City Youth Participation Committee, received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation in celebration of "2025 Youth Month."

Choi Go-won has been a leading figure in promoting youth rights and interests on behalf of the Paju City Youth Participation Committee. In 2024, he received the Minister's Award at the "Regional Youth Participation Committee Best Practice Contest" hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, earning recognition as a national best practice.

Furthermore, he has participated in the "Youth Participation Promotion Project" promoted by Paju City and the Paju City Youth Foundation, engaging in various activities such as judging policy idea contests, planning youth participation festivals, and participating schools.

At the 100th anniversary of the Paju City Youth Mayor's Office, he served as a representative of the youth participation organization, presenting a progress report and emceeing, playing a leading role in representing local youth.

He also actively participates in Youth Month and Coming of Age Day celebrations, planning and operating booths at local festivals, and making tangible contributions to youth rights.
