또한, 소각산불 발생을 줄이기 위해 영농부산물 수거 및 파쇄사업 실시, 주말 기동단속 및 일몰 전·후 집중단속, 불법 소각금지 현수막 게첨, 산불캠페인 실시 등 산불예방 및 홍보활동도 추진한다. 

시 관계자는“산불은 시민 여러분의 자발적인 참여와 관심으로 충분히 예방할 수 있다”며 “산림인접지역에서 불을 피우거나 쓰레기 소각 등의 행위를 삼가 주시기를 바란다”고 말했다.
