고양특례시 농업기술센터는 농업 기반 조성과 스마트팜 보급 확대, 로컬푸드 활성화와 화훼산업 경쟁력 강화, 동물교감치유 및 치유농업 확산 등을 골자로 하는 지속 가능한 농업 육성 정책을 본격 추진한다.

이동환 고양특례시장은 “우수한 먹거리를 생산, 소비할 수 있는 인프라를 확충하고, 지역 자원과 첨단 기술을 활용한 다각적인 정책을 펼쳐 미래 농업의 새로운 장을 열어나가겠다”고 밝혔다. 

지속 가능한 농업 환경 마련… 스마트팜 보급·연구 다각화, 로컬푸드 인프라 확대

고양시는 올해 시설·자재·직불금 등 약 140개 농업인 보조사업에 190억 원을 투입해 경영 안전망을 확충하고, 농업생산기반시설 정비와 재해 예방에 31억 원을 투자한다. 

특히 토양·잔류농약·농업용수 등에 대한 안전 관리를 강화해 농산물 생산 단계 안전성을 높일 계획이다.

 또 영농부산물을 체계적으로 처리해 미세먼지와 병해충 발생을 저감하고, 외국인 계절 근로자를 260명으로 확대해 농업 인력 부족 문제를 해소할 방침이다.

또 수도권 화훼종합유통센터에서는 화훼 경매 및 도소매 매출 171억 원을 기록했다.
