고양특례시 일산서구 주엽1동은 지난 7일 통장협의회 23명을 대상으로 위기가구 발굴을 위한 교육을 실시했다.

이번 교육은 소외된 이웃 없이 따뜻한 주엽1동을 만들기 위해 마련됐으며, 일산서구청 사회복지과 소속 전양숙 사례관리사가 ‘어려운 이웃 함께 찾기’를 주제로 교육을 진행했다.

이날 ▲복지사각지대 발굴 및 유형 ▲복지서비스 절차 및 지원▲위기가구의 발굴과 신고 방법 등에 대해 살펴봤으며, 교육의 이해도를 높일 수 있는 실질적이고 구체적인 지원 사례를 살피며 통장들의 복지 마인드를 제고했다. 

이권재 주엽1동장은 “실직, 건강 등 다양한 이유로 어려움을 겪는 취약 계층을 적극 발굴하고 지원하며 복지 사각지대를 해소하기 위해 노력하겠다. 주변에 도움의 손길이 필요한 이웃이 있는지 관심을 갖고 살펴봐 달라.”고 당부했다.

한편, 주엽1동은 통장단, 지역사회보장협의체 등 지역 내 인적 안전망을 통해 위기가구를 적극 발굴하고 사회복지서비스 지원을 연계하고 있다. [고양=박정호 기자]
