지난 1일 자로 부임한 파주시 운정4동 신향재 신임 동장은 부임 첫 일정으로 관내 경로당 6개소를 방문하여 새해인사를 전하며 소통행정에 나섰다.

이날 신향재 동장은 부임인사와 함께 경로당 이용 불편사항과 지역 현안을 경청하는 시간을 가졌다. 또한 겨울철 한파에 대비하여 경로당 시설 내부를 꼼꼼히 살폈다.

경로당 어르신들은 “신임 동장님의 취임을 진심으로 축하하며, 운정4동 노인복지와 지역발전을 위해 힘써달라”라고 당부했다. 

신향재 운정4동장은 “반갑게 맞아주셔서 감사드리며 어르신들과 주민들의 의견을 동정 운영에 적극 반영해 주민 복지증진과 지역발전에 힘쓰겠다”라며, “어르신들이 경로당에서 따뜻하고 건강한 일상을 보낼 수 있도록 자주 찾아뵙고 살피겠다”라고 전했다.[파주=빅정호 기자]
