파주시는 27일 파주시산림조합에서 이웃사랑을 위한 후원금 1천만원을 기부받았다고 밝혔다.

파주시산림조합은 1962년 설립돼 임업인 조합원이 필요로 하는 기술, 정보 등을 원활히 제공하고 지속 가능한 산림경영 촉진 및 임업인의 지위 향상을 목적으로 하는 비영리 법인이다.

파주시산림조합은 파주시 저소득 취약계층을 위해 매년 후원금을 기탁해오고 있으며, 앞으로도 취약계층의 따뜻한 겨울나기를 위해 후원을 이어 나가겠다는 뜻을 전했다.

전진옥 산림조합장은 조합원들의 따뜻한 마음과 뜻이 모여 나눔의 뜻깊은 기회를 가지게 되었다며 깊어지는 추위로 어느 때보다도 힘든 시기가 되었지만 소외되고 어려운 이웃을 돕고 살기 좋은 지역 만들기에 다소나마 보탬이 되었으면 한다고 말했다.
