고양특례시는 오는 20일부터 12월 13일까지 정발산 유아숲 체험원 등 2곳에서 유아숲 체험 프로그램 운영을 시작한다고 13일 밝혔다.

유아숲 체험 프로그램은 아이들이 숲에서 마음껏 뛰어놀고 오감을 통해 자연과 교감하는 프로그램이다.

고양시에는 정발산공원과 안곡습지공원에 유아숲 체험원이 조성돼 있으며 지난해에는 참여자가 10,180여명에 달할 정도로 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

올해에는 더 많은 유아들이 유아숲 교육 혜택을 받고 덕양구 아이들도 근거리에서 유아숲 체험을 할 수 있도록 현재 성라공원 내 유아숲 체험원을 조성 추진 중에 있다. 준공 즉시 산림청에 유아숲 체험원 등록 후 운영 할 계획이다.

정발산 유아숲 체험원에서는 아이들을 대상으로‘풀잎아 놀자’,‘소나무야 놀자’등의 프로그램을, 안곡습지 유아숲 체험원에서는 ‘물자라야 놀자’,‘물속 식물아 놀자’ 등 공원마다 차별화된 프로그램을 운영하게 된다. 

이 외에도 ‘지구야 놀자’등의 프로그램을 통해 탄소중립 실천사항 및 숲의 소중함을 배울 수 있는 기회를 마련할 예정이다. 

숲 체험 프로그램 참여를 희망하는 유아교육기관(유치원과 어린이집)은 오는18일까지 고양시청 누리집 고시·공고 란에 게재된 공고문을 확인하여 정기형 숲체험을 신청하면 되고, 랜덤 추첨 방식으로 선정된다.

또한 정기형 참여기관으로 선정되지 못한 기관과 일반 가족도 수시형 숲체험을 할 수 있도록 이용 예정 전월 10일부터 이용 예정 전주 목요일까지 고양시 통합예약 시스템을 이용하여 예약 가능하도록 할 예정이다.
