연일 계속되는 폭염 속에서 파주시가 지역 어르신들의 건강한 여름나기를 지원하기 위해 보양식 나눔 행사를 마련했다.

파주시는 지난 4일 운정다누림노인복지관에서 지역 어르신 1,000명을 대상으로 삼계탕 특식 제공 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 무더위에 지친 어르신들의 기력을 회복하고 지역사회 나눔 문화를 확산하기 위해 마련됐다. 

행사에서는 정성껏 준비한 삼계탕과 함께 면역력 증진에 도움이 되는 홍삼 간식 꾸러미가 참석한 어르신들에게 전달됐다.

이날 행사에는 손배찬 파주시장이 직접 참석해 홍삼 간식 꾸러미를 전달하며 어르신들의 건강과 안부를 살폈다.

또한 함께하는복지재단 이사장과 운정다누림노인복지관 운영위원, 자원봉사자들이 배식 봉사에 참여해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천했다.

행사에 참석한 한 어르신은 "정성껏 준비한 삼계탕에 건강식품까지 챙겨주니 큰 힘이 된다"며 "지역사회에서 늘 관심을 갖고 살펴주는 마음이 느껴져 감사하다"고 말했다.

손배찬 파주시장은 "폭염이 이어지는 시기에는 무엇보다 어르신들의 건강관리가 중요하다"며 "정성껏 준비한 삼계탕으로 기력을 보충하시고 올여름도 건강하게 보내시길 바란다"고 말했다.
