파주시가 청소년들의 대중교통비 부담을 덜어주기 위해 자체적으로 추진하는 청소년 기본교통비 지원사업 '파프렌즈'가 안정적으로 자리 잡으며 이용자들의 호응을 얻고 있다.

경기도 청소년 교통비 지원사업과는 별도로 파주시가 자체 예산을 투입해 운영하며, 청소년 1인당 연간 최대 24만 원의 추가 혜택을 받을 수 있다.

지원 대상 노선은 운정동과 금촌동, 문산읍 등을 운행하는 학생 전용 통학버스 '파프리카'와 일반 마을버스를 포함해 총 17대다.
