올해 하반기 고양시에서는 국내외 팬들의 관심이 집중되는 초대형 공연이 연이어 열린다. 

8월에는 빅뱅의 데뷔 20주년 기념 공연인 'BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR <XX : COSMOS> IN GOYANG'이 개최되며, 9월에는 임영웅의 스타디움 콘서트 'IM HERO – THE STADIUM 2'가 예정돼 있다.

특히 이번 공연들은 민선 9기 출범 이후 처음 열리는 대규모 공연으로, 고양시는 성공적인 개최를 통해 대한민국 대표 공연도시이자 글로벌 K-컬처 중심도시로서의 위상을 한층 강화한다는 계획이다.

시는 이번 보고회를 통해 공연장 안팎의 안전관리 체계를 강화하고 대규모 인파가 몰릴 것에 대비한 교통·수송 대책을 집중 점검한다. 

또한 유관기관과 협업을 확대해 공연을 도시 관광과 연계하고 지역경제 활성화 효과를 극대화할 방침이다.
