고양특례시가 시민들의 길 찾기 편의성을 높이고 응급 상황 발생 시 신속한 위치 안내를 지원하기 위해 지역 곳곳에 도로명판 231개를 새롭게 설치했다.

이번 사업은 도로명판이 부족한 지역을 중심으로 추진됐다. 

시는 지난 3월부터 4월까지 광역도로와 주요 교차로를 대상으로 현장 조사를 실시해 설치가 필요한 구간을 발굴했으며, 이를 바탕으로 7월까지 신규 도로명판 231개 설치를 마무리했다.

이번 설치로 고양시가 관리하는 도로명판은 총 1만905개로 늘어났다.

새롭게 설치된 도로명판에는 도로명과 진행 방향, 건물번호 등이 한눈에 확인할 수 있도록 표기돼 초행길 운전자와 보행자의 길 찾기 편의성을 높이고 이동 중 혼선을 줄이는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
